NINTENDO SWITCH

Join Mason in Motion on Nintendo Switch.

Switch players need Minecraft Bedrock, a free Microsoft account connected inside Minecraft, and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership for online multiplayer and Realms.

Before the first session

  1. Open Minecraft on the Switch and make sure it is fully updated.
  2. Choose Sign in with a Microsoft Account and complete the code sign-in on another device.
  3. Confirm the Microsoft/Xbox gamertag shown in Minecraft matches the gamertag submitted on the registration form.
  4. Make sure the Nintendo profile has an active Nintendo Switch Online membership.
  5. Once Mason in Motion adds the gamertag to the private Realm, open Play → Friends and look for the Realm.

Common problems

I can play Minecraft but the Realm is missing.

Check that the child is signed into the same Microsoft account whose gamertag was submitted, then fully close and reopen Minecraft.

Multiplayer is blocked.

Microsoft family/Xbox privacy settings can block multiplayer for child accounts. The parent account may need to allow multiplayer and cross-network play.

It says online services are unavailable.

Confirm Nintendo Switch Online is active for the Nintendo profile being used, then check the console internet connection and restart Minecraft.
